Diaphragmatic Breathing: A Simple Exercise

During breathing exercises, engaging your diaphragm is one of the most important things you can do. First, clear your mind of any distractions, then focus on the circle. Slowly fill up your lungs as the inner circle grows bigger. Make sure you are engaging your core (flexing your abs) and allowing your stomach to expand. Think of exhalation as a big sigh; try to get rid of all the stale air before your next breath. Practice this exercise for 5-10 minutes a day!
